Regular Stone House meeting January 6, 2015
Meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes read and accepted as read; no additions or corrections.
Treasure's Report: $1721.49 in the bank; $155.00 from baskets to be deposited.
Lyle and Susanne are moving out of the area, so they will no longer be available as docents, etc.
Membership: 44 members in good standing as of the end of last year.
Vice President's Report: none
OLD BUSINESS: The Christmas Open House was a success! It was advertised in the View magazine, so that had to be a big help.
Georgeann showed us a one of the fliers Cheryl Crawford made that were handed out at the tree lighting, which also helped attendance.
Cheryle added we should consider having crafters at our Open House next December. To be discussed.
NEW BUSINESS: There will be docent training, presented by Linda Lake at the Ely Stage Stop on Wednesday January 21 at 3:00PM. Stone House members have been invited to attend the training.
Reminder: Taking down the Christmas decorations on Friday January 9; 10:00 AM.
Lyle and Susanne donated two pictures (barn quilts) to the Stone House. Possible raffle items for later in the year. Beverly will send the LaFavers a thank you note.
There is no new information on the intimate wedding ceremonies in the Stone House “idea” Georgeann will check again in a couple of weeks. The gazebo is in no shape to be used.
Discussion of possible tours for 2015 and will be discussed at the January Board meeting. Ideas were as follows: Mahnke historic buildings, school museum in Williams, Quilt trail tour, etc.
Also speakers discussed, and this too will be covered at the January Board meeting.
We will need a new advertising person since Lyle is leaving. Cheryl Crawford a possibility.
