The HVLA Views magazine of Oct. 13, 2013 featured the Quilt Block on its cover!
Stone House Quilt Block was installed on the shed behind the historical house on Sept. 17th, 2013. The Oak Leaf Variation quilt pattern, painted at our request by the Quilt Trail organization, was chosen in memory of the huge old oak tree, at least 200 years old according to experts, that stood behind Stone House until it had to be felled because of disease in the 1970s. |
Members of the Stone House were privileged to visit the workshop of the Lake County Quilt Trail. Our Oak Leaf Variation had just been painted, but we saw others being painted. Learn about the Quilt Trail |
