Stone House Quilt Block was installed on the shed behind the historical house on Sept. 17th, 2013.

The Oak Leaf Variation quilt pattern, painted at our request by the Quilt Trail organization, was chosen in memory of the huge old oak tree, at least 200 years old according to experts, that stood behind Stone House until it had to be felled because of disease in the 1970s.

Lola Duensing was obviously pleased by the newly painted quilt block when Stone House members visited the Quilt Trail group's workshop in Kelseyville.

Members of the Stone House were privileged to visit the workshop of the Lake County Quilt Trail.  Our Oak Leaf Variation had just been painted, but we saw others being painted.
